Cruises from Pointe-a-Pitre, Guadeloupe22 Feb 2012
The city of Pointe-a-Pitre in the Lesser Antilles is strategically located for those wanting to take a cruise in the Caribbean.
Royal Caribbean International is the sole operator of cruises from this city, and their vacation packages range in length from 3-7 days. Many of the most favored vacation destinations are within easy reach of Pointe-a-Pitre including San Juan, Puerto Rico, Saint Lucia Island, St. John's on Antigua and the wonderful port of St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands.
Most of the cruises out of Pointe-a-Pitre stop at all of the towns listed above, but there are shorter vacations available for those who have limited time. The 3 night cruise from Point A Pitre aboard the vessel Brilliance of the Seas makes a stop at Bridgetown, Barbados before ending in San Juan.
This itinerary can easily be combined with an air trip from San Juan back to the North American mainland.
This article was prepared in collaboration with Ashot Hayrapetyan of Cayole Cruises.
